Hammond Stadium is the jewel in the crown of Southwest Florida baseball. Named after former Lee County commissioner and local businessman George “Skip” Hammond, it has hosted hundreds of thousands of fans since its construction in 1991. The stadium has been the spring training home of the Minnesota Twins since its opening, and it is also home to several minor league teams.

In April 2006, Hammond Stadium underwent a massive renovation which included an addition to the stadium’s bleachers and a new video scoreboard in left field. In 2009, The City of Fort Myers approved another improvement project for Hammond Stadium. The renovation project includes a new front entrance, concession stands, restrooms, ticket booths, and a team store. The outfield fence is to be replaced with a 10 ft. high chain link fence in order to give it the look of other ballparks in Florida.

There are a total of three concession stands, three bathroom facilities, two elevators, and one ramp from the parking lot to the bleachers provided for patrons with disabilities.
